Lone Mountain in Las Vegas, NV

Lone Mountain is a large community located in Northwest Las Vegas, surrounding the base of the 560-foot tall Lone Mountain that’s detached from nearby Red Rock National Conservation Area. This is a great place to consider if you’re interested in outdoor activities or living outside of the main city center. The area is popular with the policing community, as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Academy is located at Lone Mountain. 

The Lone Mountain community is home to many parks, trails and recreational activities. Lone Mountain has a 3.2-mile, 10-foot-wide trail that surrounds its base for walkers, hikers and horseback riders. 

For parks, there’s Lone Mountain Regional Park, Majestic Park, Trigono Hills Park, Durango Hills Park and Red Rock National Conservation Area is just minutes away from Lone Mountain. These community facilities offer amenities including picnic areas, sports courts and fields. When it comes to education, Lone Mountain schools are part of the Clark County School District.
